Technology major HCLTech, is expanding its global delivery footprint here with the launch of a new tech center that is expected to provide 5,000 additional jobs, officials said. The announcement came after the meeting of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu with the global CEO and Managing Director of HCLTech, C Vijayakumar, on the inaugural day of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting here in Davos on Tuesday. The new center in an area of 3,20,000 sqft will be providing cutting-edge cloud, AI and digital transformation solutions to global clients across industries such as hi-tech, life sciences and financial services, an official press release said. AI, reels, content creators, and WhatsApp are driving customer lead generation for automobile companies and their dealerships, according to a whitepaper by Meta and Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations. Interestingly, as many as 72 per cent of new automotive buyers discovered the brand on the family of apps of Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. "This whitepaper underscores the potential of AI, reels, and messaging platforms such as WhatsApp to strengthen customer relationships and drive growth," Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) President C S Vigneshwar said in a statement. As per the survey commissioned by Meta, "72 per cent of new automotive buyers who were surveyed in this research discovered the brand on the Meta family of apps". STT Global signs MoU with T'gana to set up Rs 3,500 cr data centre campus

STT Global Data Centres India Pvt Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government to establish a state-of-the-art data centre campus in the Meerkhanpet, Mucherla region, with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore. The MoU was signed in the presence of Telangana Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, Bruno Lopez, Group CEO of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), and other officials at the STT GDC office in Singapore. The upcoming AI-ready data centre campus will feature cutting-edge technologies with a targeted capacity of up to 100 MW, offering ample scalability for future growth.
