Delhi to open 70 Arogya Ayushman Mandirs this month, total to cross 200

The Delhi government will inaugurate 70 more Arogya Ayushman Mandirs this month, taking the total number of operational health clinics in the capital to over 200, officials said on Thursday. The national capital currently has around 168 Ayushman Mandirs, and with the more coming up in 10 out of its 11 districts, the government aims to make these clinics the "backbone of the community healthcare". Officials also said the government would no longer operate health centres from rented buildings, as adequate space is now available for new facilities. Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh told PTI that the government is committed to scaling up the network rapidly. "With these 70 new Arogya Ayushman Mandirs, we are taking quality primary healthcare directly to people's neighbourhoods. Over 790 mn ABHA accounts created, 650 mn health records linked: Centre

As of July 28, 2025, a total of 79.71 crore accounts for the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) have been created, and around 65.09 crore health records have been linked to it, Minister of State for Health Prataprao Jadhav told the Lok Sabha on Friday. In a written reply, he stated that around 4.17 lakh health facilities have been registered in the Health Facility Registry (HFR), and approximately 6.76 lakh healthcare professionals are registered on it. The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) has been launched with an aim to create an online platform enabling the interoperability of health data within the health ecosystem to form a longitudinal electronic health record of every citizen, Jadhav said. 1,300 nurses appointed in Delhi govt hospitals; Ayushman vans launched

The Delhi government on Sunday appointed over 1,300 new nursing officers and launched Ayushman Bharat registration vans to strengthen the healthcare system in the national capital. The event was attended by BJP president J P Nadda, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Health Minister Pankaj Singh, and other senior ministers. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Gupta sharply criticised the previous government, alleging that it had allowed the capital's health infrastructure to deteriorate significantly. "In the past, Delhi's healthcare was in such a poor state that there were only 0.42 hospital beds available per 1,000 people,she said. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurates Ayushman Arogya Mandirs

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday asserted that her government wants to make the national capital best in terms of health infrastructure as she inaugurated an Ayushman Arogya Mandir here to deliver comprehensive primary health care. At the inauguration event at Tis Hazari, Gupta also hit out at the previous AAP dispensation and alleged that mohalla clinics run by them were "corruption hubs". "Corruption was committed in the name of outsourcing of tests. There was corruption in taking space for the clinics on rent," she charged. Ayushman Bharat sees 28K registrations for elderly in a week: Delhi CM

Over 28,000 elderly, aged 70 years and above, in Delhi have registered within a week under the Ayushman Bharat Vaya Vandana Yojna that gives a health cover of Rs 10 lakh, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Saturday. Flagging off a mobile van for registrations under the health insurance scheme in RK Puram constituency, she said Rs 5 lakh cover is provided by the Centre and the Delhi government will top it up with an additional Rs 5 lakh. The chief minister said that since the launch of the scheme in Delhi on April 28, over 28,000 registrations have been done in the last five days. Mobile vans will operate in each of the 70 assembly constituencies for registering eligible senior citizens.
