The intensity of the storm was such that even the roofs of several houses were blown away, while some electric poles fell off and trees were uprooted.Expressing grief over the loss of lives due to storms, Kumar said"the government will grant ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the kin of those who died due to the storm and lightning."
