"It is the most powerful 160cc motorcycle in Colombia and embodies the latest racing technology with best-in-class performance. Silver futures surge 0.02% on global cues

Silver futures traded higher by 0.02 per cent at Rs 37,325 per kg Friday after speculators raised bets, driven by a firm trend overseas. Silver for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 8, or 0.02 per cent, at Rs 37,325 per kg in a business turnover of 23,569 lots on the Multi Commodity Exchange. Similarly, the white metal to be delivered in far-month July, too, rose by Rs 46, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 37,901 per kg in 852 lots. Analysts said widening of positions by traders, in sync with a firm trend on global markets for precious metals, influenced silver prices at futures trade here. In the international market, silver traded higher by 0.57 per cent at USD 15.01 an ounce in Singapore Friday.

ZF signs pact agreement to acquire WABCO for $7 billion

Global automotive component major ZF Friedrichshafen AG has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire WABCO Holdings Inc for nearly 7 billion dollars.The planned acquisition has been approved by ZF's management board and supervisory board and WABCO's board of directors and is expected to close by early 2020."Under the agreement, ZF will acquire all outstanding shares of WABCO for 136.50 dollars per share in an all-cash transaction for an equity value of over 7 billion dollars," according to an official statement.The transaction will bring together two global technology leaders serving original equipment manufacturers and fleets in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry.It will combine WABCO's capabilities in commercial vehicle safety and efficiency, including technologies involved in vehicle dynamics control, active air suspension systems, and fleet management systems with ZF's leading position in driveline and chassis technologies for cars and commercial vehicles.Jacques

MSTC shares drop on first day of trade

Shares of state-owned MSTC Ltd made a weak market debut Friday, falling up to 7.5 per cent as against the issue price of Rs 120 per share. The stock opened the day at Rs 111, a decline of 7.5 per cent from the issue price on the BSE. It later touched a high of Rs 116.55 and a low of Rs 110.05. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), shares debuted at Rs 115, a drop of 4.16 per cent. The stock later jumped to a high of Rs 120 and a low of Rs 111. MSTC's initial share sale, which was extended, was subscribed 1.46 times. In an update on the NSE, the book running lead managers (BRLM) to the MSTC issue had told the exchange that the issue closure date had been extended up to March 20. Also, price band was revised from Rs 121-128 to Rs 120-128 per share. The offer was earlier scheduled to close on March 15. Equirus Capital Private Ltd managed the offer. DLF raises Rs 3,173 cr via QIP; to prepay debt

Realty major DLF Friday said it has raised Rs 3,173 crore by selling shares to institutional investors through its QIP offer. DLF, the country's largest real estate firm in market value, would utilise this amount mainly to prepay debt, which stood at around Rs 7,000 crore at the end of December 2018. On Monday, the company had launched its qualified institutional placement (QIP) issue, offering up to 17.3 crore shares to investors. The issue closed Thursday. In a regulatory filing, DLF Friday informed that the Securities Issuance Committee has approved the allotment of 17.3 crore equity shares to eligible qualified institutional buyers at an issue price of Rs 183.40 per share, aggregating to about Rs 3,172.82 crore. Sources on Tuesday had said that DLF's QIP issue has been oversubscribed by two times, enabling the company to raise around Rs 3,200 crore. Major institutional investors who participated in QIP offer include Oppenheimer, UBS, HSBC, Marshall & Wace, Myriad, Key Square, .
