Woody Allen's 'A Rainy Day in New York' set to release in Italy

American director Woody Allen's rom-com 'A Rainy Day in New York' which was shelved by Amazon in 2018, is now set to release in Italy on October 3.The film was shelved by Amazon in August 2018 after Allen's adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow allegedly charged him with sexual harassment before the #MeToo movement.Variety has learned that the film is being sold by FilmNation Entertainment and will also be released in some European countries and it is believed that they have already worked the distribution deals.'A Rainy Day in New York' stars Timothee Chalamet, Elle Fanning, Selena Gomez, and Jude Law.Amazon, which broke the four-picture deal with Woody, included 'A Rainy Day in New York'. In response, the director sued the streaming giant for at least USD 68 million.Meanwhile, Allen has partnered with Spain's Mediapro for his new film. Prior to this, Mediapro co-financed and co-produced Allen's 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' and 'Midnight in Paris', both of which turned out to be high grosser.

Cancer patient fan appeals to Ajay Devgn to not promote tobacco products

Nanakram, a 40-year old cancer patient from Rajasthan, has made a public appeal to Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn to stop doing advertisement of tobacco products in the interest of the society. The patient's family said that he was a fan of Devgn and used the same product which the actor advertises for but now he realises that tobacco has had an adverse effect on his life. Nearly 1000 pamphlets addressed to Devgn, in which Nanakram asks the actor about how much he or his family chew tobacco, have been circulated and pasted on the walls in Sanganer, Jagatpura and nearby areas of the city. "My father Nanakram Meena started chewing tobacco a few years ago and was using the same brand for which Devgn does the advertisement. My father was impressed by Devgn but when he was diagnosed with cancer, he felt that such a big star should not advertise for these kind of products," Dinesh Meena, the patient's son, told PTI.
