Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu on Monday inaugurated the Global Technology Centre of US insurance major The Hartford here, marking the company's first-ever foray into India. The centre is expected to scale to a headcount of nearly 1,200 over the next few years as it expands advanced digital, engineering and AI-led capabilities for the organisation globally, a state government release said. The facility will support the company's enterprise-wide technology transformation journey, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, digital innovation and engineering excellence, it said.
