6 of family killed as car rams into truck on Yamuna Expressway near Mathura
Six persons of a family were killed on their way to Agra after the car they were travelling in rammed into a truck on Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district on Sunday, police said. Three persons were also critically injured in the accident that happened around 9 am near milestone number 140 that falls under the jurisdiction of Baldeo police station, about 30 km from Mathura city. The car, a Wagon R, which was going from Noida to Agra rammed into a truck moving ahead of it, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Aditya Kumar Shukla said. Five persons of the family, which was from Jewar in Gautam Budh Nagar district, were killed instantly, while another succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital, he added. Two customs officials at Delhi airport suspended for alleged sexual assault on Uzbek woman
Two senior customs officials posted at Delhi airport have been suspended for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman from Uzbekistan who was visiting India for medical treatment of a relative, officials said. The matter came to light last month when a complaint was lodged by a whistleblower to senior officials at the airport who then started the probe. Meanwhile, a pseudonymous complaint was also emailed to the office of Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey informing him about the incident. The complainant, citing a brief detail of the case, requested the Revenue Secretary that the matter be looked into with utmost priority. The top officer in the revenue department was also requested to bring the culprit to justice to set an example for before other public servants, who the complaint described as "wolves in the skin of sheep". The copy of the complaint was then forwarded to the officer concerned in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), the top policy making body for .
13-yr-old boy sodomised by four men in UP village: Police
A teenage boy was allegedly sodomised by four men of his village in the Puwaya area here, police said on Sunday. The incident took place on Saturday evening when the four accused forcibly took the 13-year-old boy to an orchard and allegedly sodomised him, Puwaya Station House Officer (SHO) Jasvir Singh said. The victim subsequently narrated his ordeal to his family members, who approached the police with a complaint against the four accused, identified as Rehman, Ravi, Gulli and Wasim, the SHO said. A case was lodged and a hunt was on to nab the accused who were absconding, he said, adding that the victim was sent for a medical examination.

A self-styled Muslim godman was held for allegedly repeatedly raping a girl on the pretext of shooing away evils from her house in Borabanda area of Hyderabad, police said on Saturday.As per the police, the accused identified as Azam and the 19-year-old girl are resident of the same area. Telangana: 1400 marijuana chocolates seized, two held
Two people were held and 1400 marijuana chocolates were seized in raids conducted by excise department officials in Medchal-Malkajgiri district of Telangana on Saturday.According to the excise department, the drugged sweets were wrapped in normal chocolate covers."We first conducted a raid on a betel shop where 80 marijuana chocolates were recovered," Balanagar Prohibition and Excise station inspector Jeevan Kiran said.He said that as many as 1320 marijuana chocolates were recovered in another raid on a shop located in Balanagar area of the district.A case was registered and the accused were sent to Judicial remand.

In another post-poll violence in West Bengal, three members of a family, stated to be Trinamool Congress (TMC) activists, were killed in Murshidabad district on Saturday, police said. The three were family members of TMC leader Altaf Hossain who was murdered before the Lok Sabha elections. It is alleged that those responsible for the killing of Hossain attacked his home at Kuchiamora village under Domkal police station and murdered the three. The assailants attacked Hossain's house with bombs and bullets and killed Altaf's son Sohel Rana, brother Khairuddin Sheikh and nephew Rahidul Sheikh. Neighbours rushed in immediately and a clash ensued. However, no casualty was reported in that skirmish, police said. A 23-year-old Spanish woman was allegedly raped in DLF phase 1 here by a man who befriended her on social media, police said on Saturday. The woman reached Guragon from Spain a couple of weeks ago to get internship with a multinational company. She was looking for a rented accommodation and had shared a post on Facebook in this regard. The accused, Ajanya Nath, a resident of Anand Vihar in Delhi contacted her over Facebook and offered assistance in finding a rented flat. Nath befriended her on the social media and invited the woman to a dinner party at a rented flat in DLF phase 3 on June 14, said Subhash Bokan, PRO of Gurgaon police. Former DUSU president Amrita Dhawan was allegedly robbed in southwest Delhi by a gang whose members diverted her attention by signalling that the tyre of her car had punctured, police said Saturday. Dhawan said she was travelling in a car on Friday evening when two men on a scooter signalled towards her vehicle's tyre. She stopped to check whether there was something wrong with the tyre, they said. In her complaint, the ex-DUSU president said while she was checking the tyre, two other men on a scooter arrived and picked up her hand bag which was lying in the back seat of the car. She tried to resist but they managed to flee with the bag containing Rs 60,000, police said. Dhawan filed a written complaint at Delhi Cantt police station. Three arrested for killing woman in outer Delhi
A month after the body of a woman was found stuffed in a bag in outer Delhi's Paschim Vihar, three persons, including her live-in-partner, have been arrested, police said on Saturday. The woman's live-in partner Nikhil Singh and his brother Varun and mother Geeta Devi were also nabbed for their alleged involvement in the murder case, they said. According to the police, a body was found floating in the drain in Jwala Puri on May 16. When a police team reached the spot, it found the body of a woman stuffed in a red trolley bag floating in the drain. The woman was later identified as Sarita.
