Mumbai on Thursday logged 410 new coronavirus cases, while two more patients succumbed to the infection in the city, the local civic body said. With these additions, the overall tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 11,26,150, while the death toll increased to 19,654, said the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in a bulletin. The city has reported 24 less cases compared to Wednesday, but logged more than 400 COVID-19 infections for the second day in a row. A day before, Mumbai had witnessed 434 COVID-19 cases and one death. As per the bulletin, the new COVID-19 cases were detected after 9,691 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, pushing up their cumulative count to 1,78,62,485. A day ago, 10,725 swab samples were examined for detection of COVID-19. Mumbai's tally of recuperated patients rose to 11,04,261 after 279 more people recovered from the infection, said the bulletin. The city has a recovery rate of 98.1 per cent and it now left with 2,235 active COVID-19 cases, it .

Registration of properties in Mumbai's municipal area grew 15 per cent to 11,339 units in July on better demand, according to Knight Frank India. It is also the highest level for the month of July in a decade. For July, the data has been collated till 3 pm of July 30. The registration contributed over Rs 829 crore to the state revenues. Real estate firm Godrej Properties on Monday said it has acquired 0.5 acres of land in Mumbai to develop a luxury housing project with an estimated sales value of Rs 1,200 crore. In a regulatory filing, the company informed that it has bought a land parcel to develop a luxury project near Carmichael Road in Mumbai. Mumbai on Sunday recorded 238 COVID-19 cases and two deaths, taking the tally in the metropolis to 11,22,912 and the toll to 19,640, a civic official said. The addition to the tally was less than the 266 recorded a day earlier, he pointed out. Only 33 of the new cases are symptomatic, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation official added. The recovery count increased by 274 during the day to touch 11,01,455, leaving the city with an active caseload of 1,817, he said. The overall number of coronavirus tests in Mumbai reached 1,77,64,239, including 9,385 carried out on Sunday, he said. Mumbai on Thursday logged 273 COVID-19 cases and one death, which took the tally to 11,22,109 and the toll to 19,636, a civic official said. The addition to the tally remained below the 300-mark for the sixth day in a row, he added. The recovery count increased by 338 during the day to touch 11,00536, leaving the metropolis with an active caseload of 1,937, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation official said. Of the new cases, only 26 are symptomatic, he pointed out. Civic data showed the number of samples examined during the day was 10,058, almost 800 less than the previous day. It revealed that the total number of coronavirus tests in Mumbai had now gone up to 1,77,33,634. BMC data also showed that the recovery rate was 98 per cent, while the overall growth rate of cases between July 14 and 20 was 0.026 per cent. The caseload doubling time was 2,713 days and the positivity rate was 2.67 per cent, as per civic data.
