Sensex down 104pts; Wipro, Infosys up 2%

The NSE Nifty is down 19 points at 5,031.

ICICI Bank and Hindalco have plunged over 3% each to Rs 854 and Rs 187, respectively.

HDFC Bank, SBI and BHEL have shed around 2% each at Rs 1,453, Rs 1,695 and Rs 1,836, respectively.

Tata Steel has dropped 1.5% to Rs 770. HDFC, Reliance and Bharti Airtel are down 1% each at Rs 2,548, Rs 2,581 and Rs 848, respectively.

Wipro has rallied 2.5% to Rs 442. Infosys has surged 2% to Rs 1,631.

DLF has gained 1.5% at Rs 685. ACC, TCS and Maruti have advanced over 1% each to Rs 830, Rs 898 and Rs 763, respectively.

 

Out of 2,614 stocks traded so far, 1,302 have advanced, 1,242 have declined and 70 are unchanged.
