Sensex down 34pts; Infosys moves up 3%

The NSE Nifty is down seven points at 5,042.

Infosys has surged 2.7% to Rs 1,642, and Wipro has rallied 2% to Rs 442.

ACC, Grasim and Hindustan Unilever have moved up 2% each to Rs 837, Rs 2,652 and Rs 243, respectively.

Maruti, Reliance Energy and DLF have advanced over 1.5% each to Rs 767, Rs 1,355 and Rs 684, respectively.

ICICI Bank has shed 2.7% to Rs 859, and Hindalco has dropped 2.5% to Rs 188.

HDFC Bank has slipped 2% to Rs 1,458, and SBI has declined 1.7% to Rs 1,703.

Ranbaxy and Tata Steel are down 1% each at Rs 482 and Rs 773, respectively.

 

Out of 2,707 stocks traded so far, 1,511 have advanced, 1,130 have declined and 66 are unchanged.
