Sensex down 81pts; Bharti, DLF drag

The NSE Nifty is down 22 points at 5,170.

Bharti Airtel and DLF have plunged 3.5% each to Rs 863 and Rs 681, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance Energy have tumbled over 3% each to Rs 278 and Rs 1,469, respectively.

Infosys has shed 2% at Rs 1,751. Maruti, ACC and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped 1.8% each to Rs 770, Rs 744 and Rs 666, respectively.

Wipro, TCS and Grasim are down over 1% each at Rs 484, Rs 915 and Rs 2,360, respectively.

ITC has surged 2.3% to Rs 226. Tata Steel has gained 1.8% at Rs 817.

 

Hindustan Unilever has moved up 1.4% to Rs 252. Cipla and ONGC are up over 1% each at Rs 218 and Rs 1,050, respectively.

Out of 2,657 stocks traded so far, 1,458 have declined, 1,119 have advanced and 80 are unchanged.
