Sensex down 119pts; breadth -ve

The NSE Nifty is down 30 points at 5,162.

Jaiprakash (JP) Associates and Bharti Airtel have plunged over 3.5% each to Rs 276 and Rs 862, respectively.

DLF and Reliance Energy have plunged over 3% each to Rs 682 and Rs 1,470, respectively.

Infosys has slipped over 2% to Rs 1,748. 4. Maruti and ACC have dropped nearly 2% each to Rs 769 and Rs 744, respectively.

Wipro and Mahindra & Mahindra have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 482 and Rs 668, respectively.

ITC has surged 2.5% to Rs 226. Hindustan Unilever and Tata have gained 1.5% each at Rs 252 and Rs 815, respectively.

 

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,562 stocks traded so far, 1,471 have declined, 1,014 have advanced and 77 are unchanged.
