Turnover in F&O segment drops
The Nifty May 2019 futures traded at 11,871.45, at premium of 43.20 points over the Nifty's closing of 11,828.25 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 5.77 lakh crore compared with Rs 3.30 lakh crore reported in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 421.10 points or 3.69% to settle at 11,828.25
State Bank of India (SBI), Reliance Industries (RIL) and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
SBI May 2019 futures traded at 347, compared with spot closing price of 345.80. RIL May 2019 futures traded at 1,334.95, compared with spot closing price of 1,328.55. ICICI Bank May 2019 futures traded at 408.80, compared with spot closing price of 408.25.
The May 2019 F&O contracts expire on 30 May 2019.
