CBSE class 10 results declared: Over 57,000 students score above 95%

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced class 10 results on Tuesday. "The results have been announced at 12 noon today," a senior official said. The board exams were cancelled this year in view of the aggressive second wave of COVID-19. The result has been announced on the basis of an alternate assessment policy. According to the policy, while 20 marks for each subject were for internal assessment as every year, 80 marks were calculated on basis of the students' performance in various tests or exams throughout the year.

After CBSE, CISCE cancels Class 12 board exams in view of pandemic

The CISCE on Tuesday decided to cancel Class 12 board examinations this year in view of the COVID-19 situation, according to its secretary Gerry Arathoon. "The exams have been cancelled. The alternative assessment criteria will be announced soon," Arathoon told PTI. The decision by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) came after the central government announced cancelling the CBSE Class 12 board exams following a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was decided that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will take steps to compile the results of Class 12 students as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner.
