Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) on Wednesday said it has unveiled an extended warranty initiative for all scooter and motorcycle models up to the 250 cc segment. The initiative enables customers to acquire an extended warranty within a flexible window of 91 days to ninth year from the date of vehicle purchase, the two-wheeler major said in a statement. The programme not only grants customers a comprehensive 10-year warranty coverage but also offers renewal options that remain transferable even in the event of a change in ownership, it added. "Customer satisfaction has always been crucial in the vehicle purchasing process, with after-sales service playing a vital role. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India on Friday reported 6.6 per cent decline in total sales at 3,29,393 units in May 2023 as compared to the same month last year. The company had sold 3,52,893 units in May 2022, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) said in a statement. Domestic sales last month stood at 3,11,144 units, down 3 per cent from 3,20,857 units in the year-ago period, it added. Exports were down at 18,249 units from 32,036 units in the same month last year, the company said.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India on Tuesday reported a 34.5 per cent decline in total sales at 2,11,978 units in March 2023 as compared to 3,23,434 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales were at 1,97,512 units last month as against 3,09,550 units in March 2022, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) said in a statement. Exports were higher at 14,466 units as compared to 13,884 units in the year-ago month, it added. HMSI said it closed 2022-23 with total sales of 43,50,943 units, a growth of 14 per cent over 2021-22.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India on Friday said it has launched H'ness CB350 and CB350RS bikes with latest emission norms. The price of H'ness CB350 trims start from Rs 2.09 lakh while CB350RS variants are priced upwards of Rs 2.14 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The models come with on-board diagnostics (OBD2B) system thus conforming to stricter emission norms which will kick-in from next month. The bike would be available at the company's BigWing dealerships from the end of March, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) said in a statement. "Ahead of the government's deadline, HMSI has been aggressively working on upgrading the product line up with latest norms. The company had sold 4,32,229 units in the same month last year, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) said in a statement. In the domestic market, sales were at 4,25,969 units as against 3,94,645 units in the year-ago month, a growth of 7.94 per cent. Exports were lower by 37.68 per cent at 23,422 units as compared to 37,584 units in October last year.
