The Export Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) would raise about $2 billion through a bond issue for business purposes, and its net non-performing assets (NPA) is only about 3.79 per cent, said the company on Monday.
IT firm Persistent Systems Monday said it has named Christopher O'Connor as its CEO-designate. "Chris will be based in the US, joining the company on February 25, 2019 via Persistent Systems Inc, our US subsidiary," Persistent Systems said in a statement. Until recently, Chris led the Internet of Things business unit at IBM, including roles as its General Manager, Head of Sales and Head of all software R&D, it added. "With his global exposure, deep knowledge of technology, and vast experience working with large and medium enterprises on their transformation journeys, Chris is ideally suited to lead our company on its next phase of growth," Persistent Systems Founder, Chairman and MD Anand Deshpande said. He added that he would work closely with O'Connor in transitioning his CEO responsibilities over the next three quarters. "I look forward to working with the team to create value for our customers, employees and shareholders," O'Connor said.
