Covid-19: Over 350,000 children in 15-18 age group register on CoWin

Over 3.5 lakh beneficiaries of the 15-18 age group have registered themselves on the CoWIN portal to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, as on Sunday morning.As per the data on the CoWin dashboard, 3,57,984 beneficiaries of the 15-18 age group had registered on the portal by 9:30 am.Registrations for vaccinating 15-18-year-old children against COVID-19 began on January 1.CoWIN is an Indian government web portal for COVID-19 vaccination registration, owned and operated by India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.Further, the data on the portal revealed that as many as 92,18,61,878 registrations have been made so far, including 57,37,14,969 of age group 18-44, and 34,77,88,925 for age above 45.In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement, the country is preparing to begin the COVID-19 vaccination drive for 15-18-year-old children from Monday.PM Modi on December 25, 2021, had announced that the vaccination for the age-group 15-18 years is scheduled to begin from Monday while ..

52 new Omicron cases reported in Rajasthan, state's tally rises to 121

Rajasthan reported 52 new cases of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, as per State Health Department on Saturday.With this, the total tally of Omicron cases in the state has risen to 121, it added.Out of 52 Omicron cases, 38 cases have been detected in Jaipur, while Pratapgarh, Sirohi and Bikaner reported 3 cases each, two cases reported in Jodhpur and one each case in Ajmer, Sikar and Bhilwada respectively.All the omicron positive people have been kept in isolation by the CMHO.According to the sources, out of 52 people, nine came from other countries, four got infected from foreign travellers and the other 12 travelled to different states.Meanwhile, out of 121 Omicron total cases, 121 and out of 69 positive patients, 61 have recovered.
