Susan Sarandon to star in school shooting drama 'Tunnels'

Veteran actor Susan Sarandon is set to star in Tunnels, a drama based on school shooting. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film directed by John Krokidas will feature Sarandon in the role of Ruby Love, the shooter's grandmother. At her job in the local supermarket, she is paired to work with the teenage brother of one of her grandson's victims and develops an inspiring friendship. Victoria Rose has penned the script. Colin Bates and Michael Jefferson are producing the film under their banner Lucidity Entertainment alongside Circle of Confusion's Matt Smith and Brad Mendelsohn.

Noah Centineo starrer 'Masters of the Universe' set for release in 2021

Noah Centineo is making a debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the classic toy character He-Man in 'Masters of the Universe' which will hit the silver screen in 2021.Sony Pictures will release the film on March 5, 2021, Variety reported.Based on the Mattel's popular toy line, the plot of the movie revolves around Prince Adam of Eternia, who uses his Power Sword to transform into the hero He-Man, and defends his kingdom and Castle Grayskull, the source of his power, from Skeletor, the villain of the storyline.The script by 'Iron Man' screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum will be helmed by Aaron and Adam Nee.Centineo became an overnight sensation after his breakthrough performance in the Netflix original film 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' alongside Lana Condor.The actor is again set to essay his role in the sequel 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before 2'. James Gray to direct, write 'Armageddon Time'

Filmmaker James Gray will be writing and directing semi-autobiographical drama Armageddon Time According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film recounts Gray's 1980s upbringing in the New York borough of Queens as a student at Kew-Forest, a private school which counts Donald Trump and Hank Azaria among its alumnae. RT Features, which produced Gray's Ad Astra, is backing the project. "RT Features is the best partner a director could ask for they've got great taste, and they know how to support the filmmaker; I'm thrilled to be working with them again," Gray said in a statement. Casting is currently underway and principal photography is set to start early next year in New York.

Court turns down actor Karan Oberoi's bail plea in rape case

A sessions court here Friday denied bail to television actor Karan Oberoi, arrested on charges of raping and blackmailing a woman. Additional Sessions Judge S Baghele turned down the actor's bail plea. Oberoi, 40, who has acted in some television serials and appeared in commercials, was arrested earlier this month after the woman, who was in a relationship with him since 2016, lodged a complaint with Oshiwara police that he allegedly raped her on the pretext of marriage. Oberai's lawyer, Dinesh Tiwari, said the allegations levelled by the woman were "false" and that they will apply for bail in the high court. The woman had also alleged that he shot some objectionable videos of her and demanded money from her while threatening to release the clips.

Rolling Stones announce rescheduled tour dates after Mick Jagger's surgery

Legendary American rock band Rolling Stones have announced the rescheduled No Filter tour dates after frontman Mick Jagger's recovery. The band had to postpone their North American tour for Jagger to have heart surgery. We are delighted to announce the new US and Canada tour dates today.
