Triton Logistics aims to grow turnover to ₹500 crore in 2 to 3 years

Triton Logistics & Maritime is aiming to increase its turnover to Rs 500 crore from the current Rs 150 crore in the next two to three years, its CEO Jitendra Srivastava said on Friday. "Triton is still in a very early stage. Right now, we're touching around Rs 150 crore in turnover. The aim is to scale this up to Rs 500 crore in the next two to three years," the CEO said. The company which specialises in freight forwarding, logistics, and global supply chain management with end-to-end solutions plans to scale up its turnover by investing into a lot of services and solutions, he said. "Our business plan is focused around two main pillars - geography and industry. On one hand, we are looking at which geographies we want to expand into, on the other hand, we are identifying industries where we can deliver tailored solutions," he explained. Southeast Asian defence chiefs and representatives are meeting in the Laotian capital on Wednesday for security talks at a time of increasing maritime disputes with China in the Asia-Pacific and as the transition to a new US president looms. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was set to join the meetings of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations defence ministers in Vientiane, where many will be looking for assurances ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's return to power in January. As India looks to take a more significant role in maritime governance, it needs to rethink its approach to ships and shipping infrastructure and transform the way it invests, builds and utilises the maritime resources and capabilities, said Sanjeev Sanyal, member of Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council. Indian Navy to hold maritime exercise with Singapore to enhance operability

The Indian Navy is looking forward to further enhancing its operability with the Singapore Navy and understanding of each other's operational philosophy by holding joint maritime exercises, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet Read Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar has said.
