Samsung introduces ultra premium QLED 8K TV ranging Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 59.99 lakh

Consumer electronic major Samsung Tuesday launched television sets priced between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 59.99 lakh in India with latest 8k technology, targeting premium segment of customers. Samsung India has introduced four models of ultra-premium QLED 8K TV with 33 million pixels, and is four times the resolution of 4K UHD TVs and 16 times of a full HD TV. Besides, QLED 8K TV brings 8K AI (Artificial Intelligence) upscaling, quantum processor 8K and quantum HDR to provide a true-to-life picture quality, a statement said. The company has priced Rs 10.99 lakh for 75 inch screen size and Rs 16.99 lakh for 82 inch. However, price of 65-inch, available from July, will be announced shortly. While 98-inch screen size QLED 8K TV, priced at Rs 59.99 lakh, will be made only on prior orders, the company said. Tata Sky partners Amazon to offer video streaming to customers

Direct-to-home operator Tata Sky Tuesday said it has partnered Amazon to offer access to various video streaming apps via a single-monthly-subscription fee of Rs 249 through its platform Tata Sky Binge. It would operate through Amazon Fire TV Stick Tata Sky Edition, through which Tata Sky users can view contents from apps like Hotstar, Sun NXT, Eros NOW, and Hungama Play, the company said in a statement. Besides, Tata Sky Binge subscribers will also have access to over 5,000 titles from Tata Sky VOD library along with favourite TV shows of the last one week, it said. Tata Sky, a joint venture between Tata Sons and 21st Century Fox, is initially providing Tata Sky Binge services in top 66 cities and would later expand it to other cities. Two-thirds of British firms unable to fill digital positions: Report

Britain is losing out on 63 billion pounds a year as companies struggle to find people with digital skills, a study by the Confederation of British lndustry and Tata Consultancy Services said on Tuesday.This could jeopardise the country's competitiveness, deter investment and limit people's ability to make the most of the opportunity technology brings, it said. The study titled 'Delivering Skills for the New Economy' surveyed 250 companies and highlights Britain's rapidly accelerating digital talent gap as new technologies transform the way we live and work.According to the report, over two thirds (67 per cent) of companies across Britain have unfilled digital vacancies. One in five firms is unable to find employees with basic computer skills -- including writing documents and using spreadsheets.
