Telangana in debt trap despite Centre's support, alleges Amit Shah

Even after the Centre gave over Rs two lakh crore to Telangana, the state has plunged into a debt trap, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday and claimed that the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led government was anti-farmer. Speaking at a public meeting at Munugode, about 85 km from here, where a by-poll is scheduled to be held later, Shah alleged that the TRS government is committing a sin by keeping the farmers away from PM Fasal Bhima Yojana and assured that if the BJP is voted to power in the next Assembly elections, it will ensure that every grain of paddy will be procured from farmers. "Despite over Rs 2 lakh crore help from Modi's government, Telangana has plunged into debt. I promise that if Rajagopal Reddy wins and the BJP is voted to power (in the next elections), Telangana will also be developed like any other state in the country," Shah said. Father of an 'ace cricketer': KTR makes 'Parivarvad' jibe at Amit Shah

TRS Working President and Minister K T Rama Rao on Sunday tweeted that the father of an "ace cricketer" is visiting Telangana, in an oblique reference to Union Home Minister Amit Shah who landed here to participate in various programmes including a public meeting in Munugode. Rama Rao further said the visiting dignitary will also "campaign for a gentleman whose brother is an MP", indirectly referring to K Rajgopal Reddy who recently resigned as MLA from Munugode Assembly constituency. Amit Shah to chair inter-state council meeting in Bhopal on Monday

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a meeting of the central region of the Inter State Council here on Monday, officials said. He will arrive in the Madhya Pradesh capital on Sunday night, said state home minister Narottam Mishra. The inter-state council meeting will take place at Kushabhau Thakre Hall (known as Minto Hall earlier). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be attending the meeting, officials added. Amit Shah visits AIIMS to check on injured ITBP men in J&K road accident

Union Home minister Amit Shah on Saturday visited the AIIMS trauma centre in Delhi and took stock of the medical care being provided to three ITBP personnel injured in a road accident while coming back after completing Amarnath Yatra duty in Jammu and Kashmir. The critically injured Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force personnel -- constables Balwant Singh, Tsewang Dorje and Bablu Kumar -- were brought to the capital from Srinagar on Friday onboard air ambulance for specialised treatment at the premier health facility. "The Hon'ble home minister was briefed by the doctors about the health condition of the jawans and future medical procedures being followed.
