David Miller is an aggressive left-handed middle-order South African batsman. Miller made his first-class debut in the Dolphins' final game of the 2007-08 domestic SuperSport Series, scoring a half-century in the first innings. In October 2018, he was named in Durban Heat's squad for the first edition of the Mzansi Super League T20 tournament.
 
ODI career
 
Miller earned his national call-up in May 2010 after a series for South Africa A against Bangladesh A, where he ended up being the second-highest run-scorer. He made his ODI debut against Windies at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on May 22, 2010. He has so far scored 2,897 runs in 119 matches at an average of 38.63 and a strike rate of 101.15, with five centuries and 12 fifties. His highest individual score is 139.
 
IPL Career
 
In the IPL 2013 player auction, Kings XI Punjab bought Miller for Rs 6 crore. He went on to score 418 runs in 12 matches, including a 38-ball 101 not out while chasing against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. He was retained by Kings XI Punjab for the 2014 IPL season where he played all matches and helped his team reach the finals. Later, KIXP named him captain for IPL 2016. But, he was removed from captaincy after his team lost five of their first six games. Overall, he has scored 1,850 runs in 79 matches at an average of 34.25 and a strike rate of 138.76, with a century and nine fifties.
 
T20I career
 
He has made his T20 International (T20) debut against Windies at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on May 20, 2010. In 67 matches, he has scored 1,241 runs at an average of 29.55 and a strike rate of 139.75, with one century and two fifties. In August 2017, he was named in a World XI side to play three Twenty20 International matches against Pakistan in the Independence Cup in Lahore.
