Haryana real estate regulator forfeits bank guarantees of JMS Infra Realty

The Haryana real estate regulatory authority (HRERA), Gurugram has forfeited the bank guarantees of real estate promoter JMS Infra Realty Private Limited as the promoter failed to submit approved service plans and estimates as well as zoning plan of its project on time. As per the conditions for granting RERA registration certificate (RC) in March 2022, the promoter had to submit the approved service plans and estimates and the approved zoning plan of the project within three months. The promoter had submitted Rs 25 lakh each for the two conditions as security deposit with the authority. "The bank guarantees were submitted to authority by the promoter as security for timely submission of approved service plans and estimates and approved zoning plan as stated in the registration certificate which was issued to the promoter by the Haryana real estate regulatory authority, Gurugram in March 2022," said the authority. Delhi LG writes to Haryana CM on lack of progress in setting up STPs

The Irrigation department in Haryana has not made any "substantial progress" in setting up plants to treat sewage discharged into the Najafgarh drain, Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena said in a letter to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Saxena also requested a meeting with Khattar in the letter dated February 2. "The L-G has reminded the Haryana chief minister that despite 'assurances' from the Irrigation department of his government to set up STPs (sewage treatment plants) to treat the sewage before being discharged into Najafgarh drain, there has not been any substantial progress so far," the L-G Office said in a statement. Haryana govt employees to get medical reimbursement for ayurvedic treatment

Haryana's Health and AYUSH Minister Anil Vij on Friday announced that the state government employees will also get reimbursement for Ayurvedic medicines treatment in addition to the allopathic ones. "Like allopathic medicines, now Ayurvedic medicines will also be reimbursed, I issued orders in this regard yesterday," the minister said. Speaking in Ambala, Vij also said the government is laying emphasis to promote treatment using Ayurvedic medicines on the lines of other medicines in the country. The Haryana government also proposes to include Ayurveda subjects in MBBS course in the state, he said. Cold weather prevails as minimum temperatures drop in Punjab, Haryana

Cold weather conditions prevailed in most places of Punjab and Haryana on Wednesday as minimum temperatures dropped by a few notches. Parts of south Punjab, south, south-western and north Haryana were enveloped in fog. Ferozepur in Punjab recorded a minimum temperature of 4.4 degrees Celsius, Amritsar 5.3 degrees Celsius and Pathankot 6.4 degrees Celsius according to the meteorological department. Piercing chill prevailed in Gurdaspur, Faridkot and Patiala, which recorded minimum temperatures of 5.5 degrees Celsius, 5.4 degrees Celsius and 7.8 degrees Celsius respectively. SKM announces tractor march in 20 states, mahapanchayat in Haryana's Jind

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Wednesday said foot marches and tractor rallies will be held in 20 states and a mahapanchayat convened in Haryana's Jind on Thursday to mark Republic Day and pay homage to those who died during the protests against three farm laws, which have since been repealed. "On the call of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha, farmers all over the county will mobilise again on January 26 to observe Republic Day and hold tractor rallies, foot marches and conventions after hoisting the national flag," it said in a statement. The foot march and tractor rallies will cover 300 districts in 20 states. Homage will be paid to all "kisan martyrs who lost their lives in the historic struggle of farmers against the anti-farmer government". Memorandum will be given to district collectors, the SKM said. Haryana Police beef up security measures across state for Republic Day

Haryana Police have beefed up security measures across the state in the run-up to Republic day. All commissioners and district superintendents of police have been directed to ensure elaborate security cover at all important venues for celebrations and flag-hoisting on Thursday, Director General of Police (DGP) PK Agrawal said. All roads leading to celebration venues are being monitored with 'nakas' and surprise checks. Additional forces have been deployed to deal with any untoward incident, he said on Tuesday. Cold weather prevails in Punjab, Haryana with min temp of 5.3 degrees C

Cold weather conditions prevailed in many parts of Punjab and Haryana on Monday, with Rupnagar reeling at a low of 5.3 degrees Celsius. While Rupnagar was the coldest place in Punjab, among other places in the state, Patiala also experienced a cold night at 6.8 deg C. Ludhiana's minimum temperature was at 8.2 deg C, according to the Meteorological Department's weather report. 1.2 mn families in BPL category after Haryana revised income criteria: CM

Twelve lakh families have been added to the 'below poverty line' (BPL) category after Haryana government increased the annual income criteria for it, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Monday. Khattar also said that special camps would be organized at the district, block, and village levels to update the details of the families having the 'Parivar Pehchan Patra' (family ID card). He said that 'Parivar Pehchan Patra' (PPP) is the flagship scheme of the state government to ensure the reach of welfare schemes at the grassroot levels. The chief minister said that while taking care of the poor families, the state government had increased the annual income limit of BPL families from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh. As a result, the number of BPL families has increased to about 29 lakh now, he told reporters here.
