After completing nearly 10-hour raid on Saturday at the corporate headquarters of J&K Bank, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said it has seized discriminatory documents and material with regard to the alleged fraudulent appointments in the bank.
Gaya: Minor dies after rape, accused absconding
A 14-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries here on Saturday after allegedly being raped by a neighbour the previous night.Rajkumar Shah, City DSP said, "The accused has been identified, he belongs to Jharkhand. We are trying to locate him. We reached the spot today morning after receiving the information and sent the girl's body for post-mortem. The accused is a neighbour and works as a plumber. We have taken statements of the girl's relatives."The victim, who was a resident of Shahmir Takiya area in Rampur police station limits, was allegedly taken from her house by a neighbour identified as Chintu Kumar and was raped at a secluded spot. The accused then dropped the victim back at home. He was allegedly thrashed by the girl's relatives after they learned about the incident.However, the relatives of the girl did not report the incident to the police and neither did they admit her to a hospital. Woman's headless body found near Jahangirpuri Metro Station
An unidentified woman's headless body was found near Jahangirpuri Metro Station in the nation capital on Saturday evening, police said. The body was found wrapped in a blanket, kept inside a metal truck, which was affixed atop a cycle, a senior police officer said. "It seems the woman had been killed two to three days ago. The body had started to decompose and the skin had turned black," he said. The body has been sent to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital and the post-mortem will be conducted on Sunday, they said. A case was registered and investigation is on, officials said.
13-year-old Hindu girl raped in Pak
A 13-year-old Hindu girl has been allegedly raped by two men after forcing her to drink liquor in Pakistan's Sindh province, media reports said on Saturday. The incident happened in Tando Muhammad Khan district on June 7 while the victim was on her way to purchase some groceries and in between the two suspects called her towards them and forced her to drink liquor after which they rape her, the Dawn newspaper reported. After the victim did not return home, her father and brother went out looking for her. Later they found her in an unconscious state in a local ground near a sugar mill, the paper said quoting the FIR registered by the victim's father. We found her in an open plot near a sugar mill and she was in a bad state. We rushed her to hospital and reported the matter to the police, the victim's father said. Kidney racket: Kanpur Police arrest PSRI Hospital chief after hours of interrogation
The Kanpur Police on Saturday arrested the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Delhi's PSRI hospital after hours of interrogation in connection with a kidney racket case.Dr Deepak Shukla, CEO, PSRI Hospital was detained by the police in the national capital yesterday and was brought to Kanpur for questioning.After the completion of the interrogation, the police found that Shukla was a complicit in the crime and hence, arrested him.In February this year, the police had busted a gang involved in the sale of kidney and liver. They used to lure poor people on the pretext of jobs and take them to Delhi where they used to ask them to sell their kidneys in exchange for large sums of money.During the interrogation, the kingpins of the gang - T Rajkumar and Gaurav - named various renowned hospitals of the national capital that were involved in the racket.It was also revealed that the donor was paid around five to six lakh rupees for his organs while they were sold for Rs 70-80 lakh.
20 days old minor beaten to death in Ahmedabad
A 20-days-old girl was allegedly killed by local goons in the Meghaninagar area, the police said on Saturday.A group of five men armed with wooden logs and iron pipes created ruckus in the area and bludgeoned the minor to death while she was sleeping in her relative's lap, the police said."Some ladies of our family were sitting outside our house and they suddenly came out of nowhere and attacked us. They did not even say anything and started attacking us. J'khand minister orders exhumation of 65-year-old's body to probe starvation charge
Jharkhand Food Minister Saryu Rai Saturday directed the Latehar administration to exhume the body of a 65-year-old man for post-mortem in the wake of allegations that he died of starvation three days ago. Reports published in a section of the local media have claimed that Ramcharan Munda, a resident of Lurgumi Kala village in the district, died of starvation on Wednesday after being denied ration over the past two months, a charge denied by the administration. Talking to reporters here, Rai said he has taken a serious note of the allegation and directed the administration to follow strict protocol while carrying out an investigation into the case. "If the reports are true and anybody is found guilty, he or she will be punished as per norms," the minister said, adding the probe would cover all aspects in the case, including the allegation that Munda did not receive ration for two months. Delhi Police has arrested three Nigerian nationals on Saturday for allegedly cheating people of lakhs of rupees in the name of matrimonial proposals, visa assistance and job offers."They have cheated dozens of people on the pretext of providing visa assistance, marriage inducement, foreign jobs, etc. They used to contact people on various social media platforms and offer services for obtaining visa of various countries. ED issues second summons to former Aviation Minister Praful Patel

CCTV footage helps police arrest 3 minors linked to multiple burglaries
With the help of footage from 80 CCTV cameras, police have apprehended three minors in a burglary incident at Gufa Mandir and Shalimar Bagh. Several stolen articles were recovered from the trio.The police were examining footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the area under 'Nigehban Scheme' when they spotted the three boys going inside Gufa Mandir.The minors stole battery, 'nag', 'kalash', 'danpatra', copper 'lota', 'balti', etc. from the temple and went towards Jahangirpuri, the video revealed.The trio had earlier stolen a 'Rehri' from Delhi's Singhalpur in Shalimar Bagh.The police then gathered local intelligence to establish the identity of the accused persons, which led to the arrest of three minors. Haryana: 17 yrs old girl found in canal in Fatehabad
The body of a 17-year-old girl with injuries on its head was found floating in a canal in Ratia area of the district on Saturday.Police said the girl, identified as the resident of Tohana city, had gone for a walk on Friday evening but did not return home.A case under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against unidentified persons based on her father's statement.At the complaint of her father, a case of abduction was registered at Tohana Police station after her disappearance."We got information about the body of a girl in a minor canal in Ratia Kheda. She had gone somewhere in the night. It is said that she had injuries on her head. However, we will get a clear picture once the postmortem examination report is out," said Deputy Superintendent of Police Dharmvir Punia.
Delhi Police bust a gang of six robbers
A gang of six that used to rob passengers in public transport was busted by Crime Branch last night, said police on Saturday.The six accused were identified as Ankur, Vishal, Sunil, Manish, Virender and Satpal Singh. Two country-made pistols and four knives were recovered from their possession."This gang used to target a bus or some other public transport, forcefully ask the driver to stop the vehicle at an isolated place and used to threaten the passengers using pistols and knives and rob them," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Crime, Ram Gopal Naik."Many cases have already been registered against them in the past and they have robbed many passengers in almost 50 public transports till date. They used to catch a bus late at night from NH-24, rob the passengers at an isolated area and escape into the bushes," he added.
Woman shot at by neighbour who borrowed money
A 25-year-old woman was shot at in southwest Delhi allegedly by her neighbour after she asked him to return the money he borrowed, police said on Saturday. The woman, Sonali Singh, has lent around Rs 2 lakh to her neighbour, Rahul Singhal. When she asked him to repay the money, Singhal shot her inside his car at Vasant Kunj area on Friday night, a senior officer said. The accused then sped away with his car, leaving Singh injured on the road. The woman has been admitted to a hospital, where her condition is out of danger, the officer said. UP: Gangster with Rs 50,000 bounty apprehended in Baghpat

Ujjain: 5-year-old girl was raped before being killed, say cops
A five-year-old girl, whose body was found floating in a river in Ujjain on Friday, was raped and murdered, police confirmed on Saturday."The incident took place under Mahakal police limits. The girl was raped and murdered. We have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case. We are interrogating the suspects," Sachin Atulkar, Ujjain's Superintendent of Police told reporters.The girl went missing on Friday, following which her family members lodged a complaint with the police. The cops then found the girl's naked body floating in the River Shipra. Famous Tollywood director Puri Jagannadh's Puri Connects has filed a complaint with the Cybercrime Police, claiming that the script of their movie titled "iSmart Shankar" got leaked on social media.In the complaint, the associates of the company have alleged that on June 6, they saw that the part of their movie's script was uploaded on Instagram on the page under the name 'Buzz' basket.When the company associates contacted the admin of the page -- Murali Krishna -- he allegedly demanded money and threatened to upload the whole of the script, if the company associates did not give in to his demands."We have registered a case and also taken the suspect Murali Krishna into the custody. An inter-state gang of auto-lifters was busted by the Crime Branch with the arrest of four persons, the police said on Saturday.Those arrested have been identified as Suresh Kumar, Tejender Singh, Shamshad Ali, and Muqsood Hussain. Punjab CM seeks speedy trial of rape cases, urges Chief Justice of High Court to devise a mechanism

Police on Saturday arrested two more people for the murder of a toddler here and confirmed that one of the men held earlier for the crime is an alleged sex offender who targeted children in recent years. Shagufta (32) and Mehndi Hasan, the wife and the brother of Zahid who was arrested Tuesday, were picked up this morning by the special investigation team formed to probe the killing of the two-and-a-half-year-old girl in Tappal township. "They were later arrested," a senior police official said. With this, the total number of arrests has gone up to four in the case.
