A 14-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries here on Saturday after allegedly being raped by a neighbour the previous night.Rajkumar Shah, City DSP said, "The accused has been identified, he belongs to Jharkhand. We are trying to locate him. We reached the spot today morning after receiving the information and sent the girl's body for post-mortem. The accused is a neighbour and works as a plumber. We have taken statements of the girl's relatives."The victim, who was a resident of Shahmir Takiya area in Rampur police station limits, was allegedly taken from her house by a neighbour identified as Chintu Kumar and was raped at a secluded spot. The accused then dropped the victim back at home. He was allegedly thrashed by the girl's relatives after they learned about the incident.However, the relatives of the girl did not report the incident to the police and neither did they admit her to a hospital. An unidentified woman's headless body was found near Jahangirpuri Metro Station in the nation capital on Saturday evening, police said. The body was found wrapped in a blanket, kept inside a metal truck, which was affixed atop a cycle, a senior police officer said. "It seems the woman had been killed two to three days ago. The body had started to decompose and the skin had turned black," he said. The body has been sent to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital and the post-mortem will be conducted on Sunday, they said. A 13-year-old Hindu girl has been allegedly raped by two men after forcing her to drink liquor in Pakistan's Sindh province, media reports said on Saturday. The incident happened in Tando Muhammad Khan district on June 7 while the victim was on her way to purchase some groceries and in between the two suspects called her towards them and forced her to drink liquor after which they rape her, the Dawn newspaper reported. After the victim did not return home, her father and brother went out looking for her. Later they found her in an unconscious state in a local ground near a sugar mill, the paper said quoting the FIR registered by the victim's father. The Kanpur Police on Saturday arrested the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Delhi's PSRI hospital after hours of interrogation in connection with a kidney racket case.Dr Deepak Shukla, CEO, PSRI Hospital was detained by the police in the national capital yesterday and was brought to Kanpur for questioning.After the completion of the interrogation, the police found that Shukla was a complicit in the crime and hence, arrested him.In February this year, the police had busted a gang involved in the sale of kidney and liver. Jharkhand Food Minister Saryu Rai Saturday directed the Latehar administration to exhume the body of a 65-year-old man for post-mortem in the wake of allegations that he died of starvation three days ago. Reports published in a section of the local media have claimed that Ramcharan Munda, a resident of Lurgumi Kala village in the district, died of starvation on Wednesday after being denied ration over the past two months, a charge denied by the administration. Talking to reporters here, Rai said he has taken a serious note of the allegation and directed the administration to follow strict protocol while carrying out an investigation into the case. With the help of footage from 80 CCTV cameras, police have apprehended three minors in a burglary incident at Gufa Mandir and Shalimar Bagh. The body of a 17-year-old girl with injuries on its head was found floating in a canal in Ratia area of the district on Saturday.Police said the girl, identified as the resident of Tohana city, had gone for a walk on Friday evening but did not return home.A case under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against unidentified persons based on her father's statement.At the complaint of her father, a case of abduction was registered at Tohana Police station after her disappearance."We got information about the body of a girl in a minor canal in Ratia Kheda. A 25-year-old woman was shot at in southwest Delhi allegedly by her neighbour after she asked him to return the money he borrowed, police said on Saturday. The woman, Sonali Singh, has lent around Rs 2 lakh to her neighbour, Rahul Singhal. When she asked him to repay the money, Singhal shot her inside his car at Vasant Kunj area on Friday night, a senior officer said. The accused then sped away with his car, leaving Singh injured on the road. The woman has been admitted to a hospital, where her condition is out of danger, the officer said. A five-year-old girl, whose body was found floating in a river in Ujjain on Friday, was raped and murdered, police confirmed on Saturday."The incident took place under Mahakal police limits. The girl was raped and murdered. We have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case. We are interrogating the suspects," Sachin Atulkar, Ujjain's Superintendent of Police told reporters.The girl went missing on Friday, following which her family members lodged a complaint with the police. The cops then found the girl's naked body floating in the River Shipra. Police on Saturday arrested two more people for the murder of a toddler here and confirmed that one of the men held earlier for the crime is an alleged sex offender who targeted children in recent years.
