Kashmiri-ISIS recruit in US custody in Syria

A Kashmiri youth, who allegedly joined the ISIS, has been arrested by the US allied forces in Syria and his parents have approached state authorities for intervening and bringing him back, officials said here on Wednesday. The youth identified as Adil Ahmad is believed to have joined the banned terror group in 2013, officials said. After migrating to ISIS-controlled Syria, ostensibility on the pretext of working for an NGO, he married a Dutch woman who had also joined the terror group. Having completed his MBA from Queensland in Australia, Adil left for Turkey via Jordan on June 21, 2013 on an Indian passport after he allegedly got in touch with some radical groups based in Australia. His family had been claiming that Adil was working in Syria and neighbouring countries, till his father received a message from his Dutch wife that she and their son were in custody of the US-allied forces. Fall of US power evident in future: Chinese envoy to Iran

China's Ambassador to Iran, Pang Sen, on Wednesday said that the fall of US power will be evident in the future and it will be a victory for both Tehran and Beijing.Pang, who met Iranian Parliament speaker Ali Larijani, said that he maintained good cooperation with the Iranians which have strengthened bilateral ties, Iran's state-run IRNA news agency reported.Calling Larijani's visit to China last year as successful, the Chinese envoy said that Beijing is optimistic about the future of bilateral ties, despite the US "creating obstacles".Pang's comments come in the backdrop of the US and China involved in a bitter trade dispute and the brewing tensions between the US and Iran after the former pulled out from the landmark 2015 nuclear deal and re-imposed sanctions on Tehran.The US recently increased tariffs on Chinese goods amounting to over USD 200 billion even as the two sides were involved in negotiations. AP Governor ESL Narasimhan reaches Vijayawada for Reddy's oath-taking ceremony

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan reached Vijayawada on Wednesday, where he is scheduled to administer oath-taking ceremony of YS Jaganmohan Reddy as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh tomorrow.Narasimhan landed in Gannavaram airport where he was received by district collector Imtiaz, DGP RP Thakur, and Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam. From there, the Governor went to a hotel in Vijayawada.Reddy will take oath as the new Chief Minister at a ceremony to be held in Vijayawada at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium on May 30.Jagan's YSRCP had decimated Chandrababu Naidu's TDP in the recently-concluded elections. Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, E S L Narasimhan, will achieve a rare feat when he administers the oath of office and secrecy to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-designate Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday. As governor, Narasimhan will fulfil a constitutional obligation of putting a government in place for the fifth time in his decade-long tenure. A former Indian Police Service officer and ex-chief of Intelligence Bureau, Narasimhan was transferred as governor from Chhattisgarh to the then undivided Andhra Pradesh in December 2009. In the then AP, Narasimhan had administered the oath of office and secrecy as chief minister to N Kiran Kumar Reddy on November 25, 2010. Pak anti-graft watchdog questions Bilawal over fake bank accounts

Pakistan's Opposition leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was quizzed by the anti-graft watchdog on Wednesday in connection with fake bank accounts, which were allegedly used to send billion of rupees out of the country. Bilawal, 30, appeared before the National Accountability Bureau's investigation team, where he was quizzed for 30 minutes. He was handed over a questionnaire comprising of 32 questions. The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairperson has been asked to submit his reply within 10 days. Bilawal was quizzed by the NAB in two cases as chief of Zaradri Group (of companies), which is involved in real estate business. He was also given a questionnaire and asked to return it within 10 days. It was for the second time that Bilawal was summoned by the NAB.
