The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday retained all the four Lok Sabha seats in the state as its candidates won by a record huge margins, election officials said.

Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday on his election victory and vowed to work with him to take the bilateral ties to a new height. Congress candidate from Mumbai-North Lok Sabha seat, Urmila Matondkar, on Wednesday filed a complaint with the Election Commission (EC), alleging that there was a mismatch in the signatures and machine number on the form of an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM).Matondkar wrote on his official twitter handle, "On the form of EVM 17C from Magathane, the signatures and the machine numbers are different. The BJP is leading in both the Lok Sabha seats in Arunachal Pradesh, Election officials said on Thursday. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju is leading by a margin of 71,239 votes in Arunachal West Parliamentary constituency against his nearest rival former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki of the Congress. Rijiju had won the seat in 2014 by a margin of 41,738 votes. In the Eastern Parliamentary seat, Tapir Gao of the BJP is leading by a margin of 33,097 votes against his nearest rival Lowangcha Wanglat of the Congress. Third year summer camp of RSS commences in Nagpur
Over 800 volunteers from across the country are taking part in the 25-day third year summer camp of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which commenced here Thursday. The camp was inaugurated by RSS sarkaryawah (general secretary) Bhaiyyaji Joshi at Dr Hedgewar Smriti Mandir, Reshimbagh. Those RSS volunteers, who have completed the first two years of training in the organisation, can take part in the third year training camp. During the camp, the selected volunteers from various states stay at Nagpur for 25 days and receive training in RSS principles and ideology, a release issued by the Sangh said. The YSR Congress on Thursday appeared on course for a overwhelming victory in Andhra Pradesh with its candidates leading in 150 seats, dealing a knockout blow to the Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party.
