Guar gum prices fell by Rs 34 to Rs 8,945 per 5 quintal in futures trade Thursday on trimming of bets by traders in line with subdued physical markets lead. Marketmen said guar seed futures declined due to soaring stock on continuous supplies from growing belts. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum delivery for June contracts fell by Rs 34, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 8,945 per 5 quintal, depicting an open interest of 60,090 lots. Similarly, the seed for delivery in July contracts shed Rs 35, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 9,085 per 5 quintal in an open interest of 8,110 lots.
As per the approved scheme, shareholders of PEBS Pennar will get 23 shares of Pennar Industries for 13 shares held and shareholders of Pennar Enviro will get one share of Pennar Industries for every one share held. The NCLT approval has approved the appointed date of the scheme (effective date) to be 01 April 2018.
Silver prices dipped 0.07 per cent to Rs 37,490 per kg in futures trade Thursday tracking weak cues from the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July contracts fell by Rs 27, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 37,490 per kg in a business turnover of 22,198 lots. The white metal for delivery in September contracts was trading lower by Rs 41, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 38,015 per kg in a business turnover of 958 lots. Traders said, off-loading of positions by participants on the back of weak domestic trend mainly dented silver prices here. The precious metal, however, gained steam in the global market. It was trading up 0.05 per cent to USD 14.82 an ounce in New York.
Preliminary financial performance figures released on Thursday by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) show that aggregated net earnings of Asia Pacific airlines halved in 2018 to 4.7 billion dollars from 9.6 billion dollars recorded in the previous year.Continued expansion in the global economy underpinned further growth in air passenger and air cargo markets.
